It encourages them to actively participate in the life of Maastricht and the Netherlands.

Dutch Religion
Wednesday March 24 8 pm

As much as the Netherlands is a secular society, religion is and has been a formative aspect of Dutch Culture and society. Facts and figures show a complex picture. 51% of Dutch people are churchmembers, but at the same time only 16% would call themselves a-religious. Muslims make up about 5% of the population. Many forms of spirituality are popular at the moment. We focus on current trends & topics in the public debate on religion, we show a few typical facts & aspects of the way Dutch people have experienced and organised their religion in the past, and how things stand today.
Let us know you'll be there and sign up for Wednesday March 24.
